Preview of the Slot Game “Hope Diamond”

Developer Blueprint Gaming provides something out of the ordinary for those players who prefer to try new things and push themselves. Like a milkshake slot machine where everything is flung at the wall to see what sticks, Hope Diamond combines diamonds, horses, mines, and miner-ettes. Some people may find the oddities charming, while others will be completely baffled. If it doesn’t make sense now, it generally won’t make much sense by the conclusion of the review. We might as well simply dig in at this point.

Hope Diamond is a 5-reel, 20-payline slot machine set in a luminous diamond mine, reminiscent of the cartoon mines in which the valuable stones protrude from the walls and the miners just pull them out and put them onto a cart. At least, that’s what it looks like when you first boot up. During gameplay, the area around the reels will blur to pastel colors, and the reel frame will be covered with sparkling diamonds. The scenery is unremarkable, but it retains a certain cozy, nostalgic charm that may appeal to certain viewers.

Hope Diamond may be played for as little as 20 cents each spin on mobile devices and as much as $500 on desktop computers. The subject may not be for everyone, but the 96.51% RTP should please most players. Those who enjoy a moderate amount of suspense in their gaming sessions will enjoy volatility. If the rating is medium to high, the ups and downs aren’t too dramatic.

In the diamond mine, you can win if you get three of a type of any symbol, with the exception of the top premium, which only requires two. There are nine payouts for symbols: four for the royals (J-A) and five for the high cards (K-Q). In order of decreasing worth, the premiums are the logo, followed by lights, mine carts, ponies, and miner women. If you get five of a kind or more, you’ll win 10-25 times your wager.

The flaming bundle of dynamite sticks represents the wild symbol, which pays out as much as the top premium does. When used to complete a winning combination, it may stand in for any icon other than scatters and the Money Symbol.

Slot Featured: A Diamond in Hope

The quantity of useful extras in Hope Diamond is impressive. There are a number of tweaks, a collecting system, and two nearly identical bonus games. One of four possible add-ons to the main game can activate at any time. Once activated, the game prompts the player to select one of three hidden gems. This subsequent spin will incorporate the resultant modifier.

Big Bang Dynamite Wilds – Wild symbols appear on the reels in an unpredictable quantity.

When the Colossal Dynamite Wild lands, it can transform up to 9 adjacent tiles wild.

When wilds appear on the following spin, they detonate like dynamite, making even more symbols wild.

The Diamonds Forever bonus is guaranteed to be activated when 6 Money Scatter Symbols are placed to the reels.

Diamonds Forever may also be triggered by landing six or more Money Scatter Symbols anywhere in the main game. Initiating Money Scatters are frozen in place. The Money Scatter Symbols are the only ones that spin independently of the other places. You have three spins to start, and any further Money Scatters that appear lock into place and reset your spin count to three. When the bonus round concludes (either because all spaces are filled or because time has run out), the sum of the values displayed on all of the Money Scatter Symbols is awarded.

The Diamond Trail is the final addition. Any time a Bonus symbol appears in view during the main game, it will fill the bottom cart on the Diamond Trial to the left of the reels. If you fill up all the carts on the Diamond Trail with Bonus symbols, you’ll activate Diamond Spins. The initial three spins in this bonus cannot be retriggered. Only Money Scatters are in play on each spin, but they do not accumulate as they land. The value of each participant is added immediately and distributed at the conclusion.

Slot Verdict for the Hope Diamond

Hope Diamond sounds at first like a character from a daytime TV program and never really shakes that image. It’s not simple to narrow down who the intended audience is because the subject matter isn’t for everyone. Could it be bronies? By the way, no one is making any kind of judgments. By combining a My Little Pony vibe with a more refined slot-friendly mining vibe, Hope Diamond manages to be one of Blueprint’s most peculiar slots. The end product is just as strange as it sounds.

The strange motif isn’t the only sign of a probable creative rut; the features are also quite generic. Diamond Spins is quite similar to the Diamonds Forever feature, which is a regular symbol hold. Tests showed that while Diamond Spins were more likely to pay out, the Colossal Wild provided the greater excitement. There’s a 50,000x win ceiling buried in the tiny text of the help documents, which seems excessive.

If you’re looking for a slot with a more traditional feel and a unique theme, you could enjoy this one if you’re willing to broaden your horizons. There are many features, but none that will blow your mind. As a whole, this seems like it would be better off under the “other” folder. You can’t deny that Hope Diamond’s central theme is novel, but the film veers closer into outright weirdness than charming eccentricity. It’s not all negative, since the RTP and potential are also on the positive side. It’s probably worth a go if the bland theme and unoriginal gameplay don’t put you off right away.
